ホンドオコジョはイタチ科の肉食獣です。生息地域は本州の中部から北部にかけた高山です。ホンドオコジョに会えるととてもラッキーです。オコジョは準絶滅危惧種［NT］として登録されている希少動物なのです。
The Hondo-okojo, or Mustela erminea nippon, is a carnivorous animal of the weasel family that lives in the high mountain areas from the central part of Japan's mainland northward.
