provoke

If you come across a bear, do not provoke it.
熊に (クマに) 遭遇したら刺激しないようにします。

ゆっくりと後ずさりし、けして走ってはいけません。
Back away slowly and never run.

大きな音を立てないようにします。
Do not make a loud noise.

近くに大きな木があれば隠れるようにします。
Hide behind a large tree if there is one nearby.

トレッキングポールを持っているなら、持っている手をYの字に上げて自分を大きく見せます。熊は自分より大きな動物は襲わないとされています。
If you have trekking poles, raise them up with your hands in the letter Y and make yourself look bigger. Bears will not attack animals larger than them.
